Bill Saunders arriving in a lawless town is quickly made Marshal. But when he arrests the gang members, the victims refuse to testify. However one rancher is willing to testify and when the gang kills him, Bill jails the killers. This causes the gang leader Rawhide to reveal the identity of the big boss and Bill goes after him.

Wonderful 'boy meets girl' moment when a peaceable man meets a trigger happy cafeteria girl called Pepper. Must be one of my most favorite Iris Meredith roles I've seen. Looked like she was having a blast with this one. It set the tone for a very enjoyable "Wild" Bill Elliott western, he himself carrying on like a real man in a lawless town. What was weird was seeing James Craig as a western henchman. And what makes it even weirder was seeing Charles King NOT as a henchman!
