Take the Stand

Take the Stand (1934) is a fairly ambitious poverty row murder mystery where they put some effort into the actual plot and hired a bunch of recognizable second-tire actors, but it's still only a cheap mystery and there is limited how much they could get out of it with not much going into the production. Probable most interesting for those wanting to see comedian Thelma Todd in a more serious role. A dazzling blond pretty much the center of attention.
