Swing High

Swing High (1930) is a highly fluctuating experience. Loose circus romance with a few cameos from silent comics. One of the few leading roles Fred Scott had before returning years later as a singing cowboy. The natural centerpiece is Helen Twelvetrees in a virtuous role. She's probable better known for her more sinful precode movies, so it's almost weird watching her so so innocent. Twelvetrees is still the shining presence and that climax trapeze scene was pretty awesome.
