Interesting as a time document maybe, but as a story much too superficial to kindle my interest.

Intriguing look at a dysfunctional couple who can't stay apart but at the same time are seemingly gonna bring each other down and the people who intersect with their individual and combined orbits. Perfectly acted and a pleasure to watch. Plus views and a look at the people and places of a Tokyo (and world) long gone. This one really grows on you. B&W but who cares, you forget that pretty much instantly. The 'red-light district" is relevant to the tale but there is no nudity etc whatsoever.
