Nigel De Brulier does a splendid portrayal of her Rabbi father and former Russian star Ivan Mozzhukhin was an exceptional actor in the silent years. Unfortunately his only Hollywood movie regardless of showing off his excellence in the European suave. I'm not going to claim Edward Sloman directed a perfect drama, but I liked a lot of this, especially the acting, and there was enough detail to the direction which made it a quality picture regardless of it being considered a failure.
