One of the frustrating things about finding obscure foreign silent films is that they rarely are restored and most often don't have English subtitles available. Like this Georgian (then part of the Soviet Union) spectacle. From visuals I can probable make out only half of whats going on, but the key moments are so powerful that it becomes a rewarding session regardless if one get everything. The cross scene and the other tragedies shows that there was a lot of quality ideas in making this film.
