Superman and the Mole-Men

Superman doesn't show up for over twenty minutes. Meanwhile midgets in monkey suits and bad bald caps meander around a desert until the 60 minute mark is up. Decent z-grade movie; sure. A job for Superman? Hardly.

Just ... odd ... and dull ... and preachy. Strange creatures from the hollow centre of the earth comes to the surface and the poor misunderstood beings are chased by villagers with guns until Superman intervenes and makes speeches about how we shouldn't hate other beings just because they are different.

The costumes of the mole-men are laughable in this movie. There is not much going on with this script. This film could have used a lot more action scenes. Overall this film is bad and boring.

George Reeves as Superman in a short feature film, sort of as a pilot of the upcoming Superman TV-show. And it's as cheesy as you'd hoped. Those little Mole-Men sure was something, but they were not Superman's greatest villains, if that's what they even were. I think it all would have been more incredible with a proper enemy to fight. Here it felt like they were stepping on Mole-Men's territory, trespassing. But it was a good time, even if it didn't hit peak camp material.
