Superman: Unbound

Falls into the usual DC Animated trope of some very great setup and banter in the beginning, and even some pretty interesting characteriza--- wait stop! Time to punch stuff! Punch stuff for whatever amount of time there's left in the film.

This was a fun if unremarkable Superman film. I'm not sure what the title means because it didn't seem to fit the movie.

stiff, ugly animation most reminiscent of western porn comics. like, those pop-up ads that say "wanna fuck her? call tonight!" next to a picture of Lois Griffin with gigantic tits while she's sucking off Huckleberry Hound or whatever. it was basically 75 minutes of that, but I did like Brainiac's voice. I looked it up, and apparently the guy who voiced him is Australian. it's a dumb accent, so I get why he went with "Chinese Charlton Heston," racist as it seemed. I might be a bit high.

Comes off as standard Superman fare - has some interesting characterization, but it mostly just leads to nowhere and the banter was mostly lame. I've seen plenty of Superman vs Brainiac fights that were far more enjoyable than this, so you're not missing much by giving this a skip.

About the quality all these DC Animated Movies have had so far, which is in fact pretty good. I'm not familiar with the source familiar for this one yet. If they hired these guys to write the live-action movies and stayed out of their way they probably wouldn't have had to reboot every couple of years.

This is another awesome DC animated movie. It has a lot of personality (not that the other good ones don't, but there are many humorous moments that fit well and don't detract from the story). The voice acting, while not done by particularly well known people, is great. Overall, this has great action, story, and characters.

Superman and Supergirl take on a dangerous foe, Braniac. I thought that this animated film was pretty fun. First of all the voice acting was done by a very talented cast including Stana Katic and Molly Quinn from the show Castle and also Matt Bomer doing the voice of Clark Kent, Bomer is from the show White Collar. There were a lot of great sequences of action, some quite violent. This wouldn't be recommended for younger viewers. It was neat to see Supergirl in such a major role.
