Summer of Blood

What an annoying guy who never stops talking. Glad to see him called out for that at several points, but not happy about the happy ending since there was no character development by Tukel, much less enough that justifies his successful girlfriend taking him back. At least it wasn't boring, but my attention was on how much worse of a guy he can get. Fav scene: Melodie Sisk looks like Alia Shawkat.

A culmination-plus of Tukel's previous work in its Shit Dude self-criticism, schlocky genre play, and being funnier than the rest put together. He's found ways to work his jokey runs into somewhat more naturalistic scenes and really make them come off, and for the characters, and while seeming to almost skip over them ("I'm an optimist"/"Well I've never dated an eye doctor so..."/"Not an ophthalmologist, I mean things are getting better.."). Aspires to VAMPIRE'S KISS & THE COMEDY & pulls it off!

One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

A very playful horror comedy from Tukel that is a lot of fun, and in not taking itself too seriously is liberated from most preconceptions as to what a horror comedy ought to be.

Interesting and funny, I was not expecting that plot twist, how good it feels not to read the plot summary before seeing a movie.
