Summer School was a lot better than I expected it to be. The story wasn't overly cheezy and some of the themes seem almost taboo now-a-days but overall it was a fun summer time school romp. The casting in the movie was shockingly good. Mark Harmon is the cool gym teacher who's mind is usually somewhere else. Kirstie Alley is the young cute teacher that everybody wants to bang; students and teachers alike. The rest are great too. I would definitely watch this again.

A fun throwback of the 80's comedy. Mark Harmon starred as the likeable gym teacher turn substitute english teacher Mr.Shoop which was enjoyably comfortable in his role. The rest of the cast was also solidly entertaining.it wasn't meant to be memorable because of its predictable and lousy plot. "Summer School" had served it purpose for being decently entertaining without too much expectation.

Guilty pleasure! Yeah, I have a soft spot for this one. It's really not great, but it has heart and is always fun to watch, for me.

Chainsaw? Anna Maria? "My zipper got stuck"?! you Know it was awesome. The nostalgia factor for me is huge here.

This is a light, 80s teen comedy with likeable characters, played well - especially the horror-film loving duo Dave & Chainsaw who get a lot of the good lines and very funny Harmon as the fun-seeking teacher. The story is simple and the outcome is all-but written in after the first minute but it's the enjoyment we all have getting there that makes the movie work with just enough occasional drama so you care about the people between the jokes. A feel good film that does what it says on the tin.

Not a big fan of Harmon's and a lot of the supporting case is downright annoying instead of funny. The rabbit horror was funny though.

lazy but fun movie. That the name of a main character is Chainsaw is bonus.

Great guilty pleasure of a movie. Features a really gorgeous Kirsty Alley, and a doe-eyed cute Courtney Thorne-Smith

Love movies like this especially from the late 80's and 90's.

Ok, (late) 80's teen-comedy which seems to have quite a good reputation. It's nothing that special, and quite tame by the genre's standards except for occasional up-PC moments. Worth a watch if you've seen all the better entries. Film buffs might get an extra kick out of the film quoting duo of Dave & Chainsaw - as might the Melrose Place fans.

I think the life lessons here are obvious; either you buckle down, learn to live as a functioning member of society or you too might end up teaching summer school and dating Kirstie Alley. Now that's a powerful message. Scared me straight.

Mark Harmon sucks, but the scene where the whole class gets done up in fake gore is worth the price of admission.

Box Obras primas do Cinema Coleção anos 80 volume 6.
