A lot of fun! And only 5.4 on IMDb? Seriously? I mean, sure, many of the jokes are low-brow but, man, this has so many laughs and spoofs the slasher genre so marvellously that I'm hard pressed trying to come up with many better examples of the subgenre.

Before THE MIDNIGHT SKY I could have counted on two hands the number of movies I'd quit in the last ten years. But turning off that piece of crap was so satisfying I think I shall do it some more. Signified by the words, "QUIT IT!" As in, the first 20 minutes of this were completely terrible and unfunny, QUIT IT!!!

After seeing what modern horror-comedies have had to offer, watching this movie effectively picks up the pieces off the floor, rubber-bands them back together and sets it all back into the refrigerator where it rightly belongs.

Cult horror parody much like Scary Movie just made 20 years earlier. It is worth seeing for some hilarious dialog lines and the actor whose name is The Stick. A real stoners' delight!

Unexpectedly crazy for sure and certainly an inspiration for the Scary Movie -franchise. I was kind of waiting for a horror movie with some jokes thrown in, but this movie is just entirely bonkers with the characters and jokes. It drew some genuine laughs from me, but in the end it stays past its welcome and it's too long to entirely work as a zany comedy. "All these years I've been secretly naked underneath my clothes."

A perfect blend of everything wrong with 80's culture, it features quite a bit of casual homophobia, pokes fun at the disabled, & tries so incredibly hard to be funny that most of it really isn't. It does have a few laughs & the makings of something good are there, but it never comes together thanks to how overcooked most of the gags are & how poorly they've aged. It also clearly thinks it's hilarious even when it's not, which doesn't help, & neither does the weird ending. Pretty disappointing.

Superb but repetitive and a little over the top and repetitive.

This is so bad it's good, except it's intentionally a comedy, so maybe more so good it's bad? It's meta as heck which makes stands out, and while a lot of the humour is low brow stupidity a decent amount of it is executed well enough to be genuinely funny. There are dozens of glaring problems with it, mostly due to the writing not being nearly as clever as the writers think it is, so sometimes you laugh with them and sometimes at them, but I had fun so I can't care too much.

Often funny, and cute even when the jokes don't work. Preferable to the Scary Movie series for sure. Malvert is amazing.

Much better than Scary Movies, however it does get a bit tedious towards the end.

A lot funnier than I remembered it being as a kid. Ironically this one has a lot more plot than the movies it parodies.

A fairly watchable spoof of early slasher flicks. Interestingly enough, every idiosyncratic plot point is present here considering the age of the newborn genre at the time. The biggest problem is that all elements that make it a fitting spoof happen to be biggest flaws. In other words, slashers suck.

An early horror parody that does it right.
