What I expected to be an average comedy wih a gimmick turned out to be a rather entertaining above average comedy (with a gimmick). A plot drives the two conjoined twins from one awkward situation to another to provide the audience with some laughs. Unexpectedly good.

There is such a charm about these two, such a beautiful affection for their feelings and dreams, that this one felt just incredibly sincere, funny and touching. Even when the Farrellys get sentimental, putting on the screen a story that is mostly about innocence -- and how things turn different when you lose it --, they manage to be themselves: silly, smart filmmakers, that don't have to be ironic to win your attention. That is: great comedy is all about respecting the characters.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but this was actually good. Yes, it's gimmicky and often goes for the cheap jokes, which doesn't always work, but enough of them hit to make it entertaining. It also uses the gimmick well and explores some interesting ideas, although a bit clumsily.

It wasn't horrible, but overall I feel like this movie tried to be a little like Dumb and Dumber with some of the humor (like the crosswords). It was weird seeing both Damon and Kinnear playing these roles, but they did ok. There were some funny parts with Kinnear acting on stage and just carrying Damon around, and their job as short order cooks got a guffaw out of me. The story itself though was stupid. My date wondered why the heck Matt Damon would ever take this horrible role.

If you expected this to be another gross out-fest from the makers of There's Something About Mary, you'll be disappointed. What I found was a very well acted and genuinely funny movie. The payoff at the end is very good as well. Damon and Kinnear have very good chemistry together (they would need to fo rthis role, eh?). Overall, a fun movie.

Seen: 2. I completely forgot about the Cher and Streep extended cameos. Best parts of the movie. Damon and Kinnear do play well off of each other. There are a few chuckles, but not enough to keep this one afloat. There are more eye roll moments than laughs. The tone is just off quite often, and the crude humor doesn't sit well.

Stuck On You is a surprisingly clever and heartwarming experience from the Farrelly Brothers. It wisely avoids grossout humor and overt offensiveness and tells an intelligent albeit predictable story.

On the first weeks of 2004, there was only few new films to watch in cinema. Farrelly Brothers movie sounded as a safe option and so it was. Its mediocre comedy with some good laughs.

A surprisingly sweet and good-natured film, which helps make up for the hackneyed storyline. There are quite a lot of misses in the jokes, and it's never completely hilarious, but there are a lot of hits too.

The gags are hit and miss, but a few parts are pretty hilarious. Matt Damon really carries the film, while Greg Kinnear, Meryl Streep and Cher are pretty good too. Decent comedy with a 90s feel.

I had heard there was a comedy about conjoined twins, but I don't think I really believed it existed until I ran across it on TV. It's a real tribute to the Farrelly Brothers--and Cher--that I didn't give it a 2.

I actually had a pretty good time with Stuck on You, which surprised me. The jokes were pretty funny, the characters endearing, and there was a plot. Not much of one, but at least the thought was there. Most importantly, I had fun while watching it, even if it does last too long and had a fair bit of redundancy. Still, since I was laughing fairly often at either the jokes of the ridiculousness of the entire premise, that's still laughing which is the goal of a comedy.

The problems with this comedy about Siamese twins is not so much that the Farrelly brothers have put in every single gag you can think of when it comes to those, it's more that they haven't thought of any single gag that you haven't thought of.

Surprisingly heartwarming lowbrow comedy. The Farelly brothers call in every Hollywood favour they have, resulting in a stream of cameos that is one of the best parts of the film. I enjoyed the quirky, sweet and non-conventional characters. The ending was a bit of a copout though.
