Streets of New York

A very moral Monogram picture with a teenage Jackie Cooper in the lead, as a young guy experiencing the tough life on the streets of New York. Inspiration from Abe Lincoln's words keeps him on the straight track. While a very low budget affair, this one has William Nigh directing, and he's a guy that usually gets a lot out of simple means. And he did that here, guiding his actors to good performances, creating a warm feeling from a overly ambitious script.

This was quite a surprising movie. It had a decent story and the acting was quite well. The ony real problem I had with this movie is that it felt like it was rushed at the end and tied up al the loose ends up way too quickly. Otherwise, I was quite surprised at how good this movie turned out.
