Mascot really upped it's game in 1935 for it's low budget feature films. They even get a good one with pretty much lackluster leads! Streamline Express is a fun potboiler on a speed train to California. Throw in a little mystery, drunks and plenty of romance and you got yourself a pleasant mindless movie. The whole mystery/crime bit was rather disappointing, but I guess it was all about the happy ending(s).
