Strange People

Creaky 'old dark house' mystery for poverty row outfit Chesterfield Motion Pictures which incidentally uses the same sets as Universal classic horror movie The Old Dark House (1932)! You can easily sense that Strange People (1933) is made by a company with limited means by how clumsy the staging and editing is. Worse more is the dialogue. Yet, the plot is fairly original and some of the characters are fun. And while the blow off is slightly disappointing it's a mystery movie with charms.
