The sixty-sixth and last of the Hopalong Cassidy films. Having seen all of them, I'll be sad to see it go. This was the first B-western film series that was any good, and 13 years later their movies still entertain, though not as much as when George 'Gabby' Hayes was part of the series. Strange Gamble (1948) is them at their most average. Perfectly watchable, but not the perfect send-off.
