Straight A's

Awful.

This was a pretty fun movie, until it ended on a really depressing note. Ryan Phillippe was a blast in this film. He's so Southern it's hilarious. Anna Paquin is also pretty great once she lightens up later in the story. Luke Wilson's part was small and really they wasted their money on him because he is hardly in the story at all. There is a lot of great lighthearted humor throughout but like I said they decided to take a darker turn at the end and it stole those warm feelings away.

I guess that the A in the movie title was for average cause that's pretty much what it was average movie about a druggie uncle who is tryin to fix his life but the ending was kinda sad.

Feels useless. I guess they wanted to pass a message about making amends and fixing the past, but it only feels rushed or like they gave up at the end.
