Claude Rains was so good as the shady Russian and Kay Francis looked ravishing in all the elegant dresses! Started real strong too.... but then it turned into another soft Kay Francis romance story. The type of film she always does with limited edge to it. Safe, familiar and predictable. Rains remained a interesting character, but the story plummets about half-way when she starts hooking up with Ian Hunter who was a very bland lover, even for a Francis romance

Light entertainment from the 1930's. It was interesting to see clothing fashions of the period, but otherwise rather unremarkable. I found some of the lead acting surprisingly thin - had a B-movie type of feel but I will say it was quaint.
