Very enjoyable, but some segments are a little weak. I get the point of the ending but I feel like it could and should have been handled better.

A good movie because of its simplicity and its humanity. The point is never shoved down your throat, but slowly and steadily building up to an eventual climax. Though its pace is slower than a snail, I actually like that for a change. Hollywood can never make a movie like this.

Gracefully morbid & elegant in its display of solitude & death. Not everything works admittedly. Some support performances look amateur when stacked up against the majestic Marsan, & not every section of Mr May's investigation quite works as a segment. Nonetheless, it often gets close to genuine brilliance & the simple beauty of the script, photography & score all add up to something very worthwhile. It's just a shame it didn't end 45 seconds earlier when the ending was perfect & ghoul free.

An interesting story. I'm not sure I would call it a comedy though. Well worth a look.

The film is so well intentioned & Marzan's performance so sympathetic that it seems mean-spirited to attack it, but there are only so many ways one can watch Marzan look lonely & thoughtful, before losing interest. The film continues to try to mine sympathy for Marzan even after you think it's done, offering up an ending that will only satisfy the most religious viewers. Fans of Froggatt or the quiet romance suggested by the trailer should look elsewhere, since this offers little of either.
