I love Boris Barnet's silent stuff. Haven't much experience with his sound films, but this was a light mildly charming affair, which still managed to get banned in the Soviet Union. How, I don't know, except for the characters not being perfect human beings. To me the plot was a little too loose to engage above the funny characters involved.
