Standing Up, Falling Down

34 yaşında evde kalmak. Stand-up komedyen gencimiz, evine döner. Gittiği barda, 65 yaşında 1 doktor ile tanışıp kanka olurlar. Hayatı ciddiye almayan kankalar, geçmişiyle de yüzleşmek zorunda kalır. Çok kötü olmasa da, çok sıradan. Billy Cystal tatlı komik. Filmin sonunda, Bye bye Dermatolog. Hayat kadere inat seni sil baştan yazacağım.

It has likable performances out of Schwartz and Crystal but it takes thing a little too easy for a little bit too long for it to transcend onto a level of complete poignancy. It strayed away from telling the stories that affected these characters and why they were here until the final moments of the film. It then tried to propel them into a new journey while wrapping it up as sweetly as possible.This movie talked about regret but did not really give any consequences for the things they regretted

It passes the time. I am not a big fan of Ben Schwartz. He was ok. Billy Crystal was good. The movie is a bit ho-hum. Ok, but not great. Entirely forgettable.

Standing Up, Falling Down is a fairly low-energy film that is more sweet than it is funny. Crystal and a mildly subdued Schwartz, have enough chemistry to make the film enjoyable, but not enough to really make it poignant. There's an interesting melancholy about the film that arises due to the many of the characters situations that almost thematically underscores the idea of the "American Dream". It's a good film that has its moments, but isn't particularly memorable.
