Congrats Stalingrad! This movie was a lot better than I was expecting, for a 3D film based on World War II. The 3D part confused me, but I went with it. I thought the visuals were pretty nice, and I liked a lot of the characters. The film was dubbed for English over the Russian speaking parts, it was a little corny, so watch it with all subtitles to skip the silly voices. It kept my attention pretty well, for being over two hours long...

I like watching movies about war from different perspectives. Stalingrad not only showed a Russian perspective but also a German one. The main German officer was a very complicated character. His love for the Russian woman who looked like his wife was also very complex. The story of the five Russian soldiers and the narrator's mother is the main storyline of the film. I love how each of the men and the woman try to find some humanity where human brotherhood doesn't exist.

It has its quality but I did not like it. I found it boring and I did not see the whole thing.

Visually stunning. Need to rewatch but was pleasantly surprised. Remember it being reviewed as all flash, no heart, good acting or plot. That would be a VERY unfair summary. Yes, the visuals are its strongest suit but the rest of film was NOT just dragged along in service of the slow-mo & hell-scape vista. Nothing struck me as significantly weak or poor (not script, acting, direction nor score etc.) The effects & aesthetic are focus & core of film but NOT all it has 2 offer. Well worth watching

Putin Rusyası Stalingrad'ı anca bu kadar bir kere bile Lenin, Stalin demeden, Sovyetler bayrağı göstermeden anlatabilir.

Visually exceptional as war films go. It looks really good on the screen. The story is pretty average but its still quite watchable.

Predictable and uninspiring. Bloated with so many unbelievable characters you will lose count...
