Stage Door Canteen

A 2 hour cameo movie! Pure wartime novelty, where they tried to cheer up the audience with a bunch of nobodies in the leads and major stars taking the random supporting parts, with a ton of music in between. Barely a plot. Just half-arsed moments with recognizable faces, with the rest of the cast putting you to sleep. The music was just there. Big names, but not much in the way of major tunes to heighten the hours. A bit of a downer for something which was supposed to be something special.

Hokum, but hokum that's awfully fun to watch.
