Speed Crazy

Drifter and sports car racing enthusiast Nick Barrow kills an old man during a robbery and flees to a small town, where he becomes romantically involved with Laura, a café waitress. Learning of an upcoming auto race, Barrow, obsessed with speed, enters and wins. After a fistfight with Laura's boyfriend Tommy, Barrow moves on to another small town where he seeks anonymity working as a mechanic at an auto garage owned and run by the amiable Ace Benton.
