One of my favorite movies of all time for so many different reasons. Micheal Jordan did a great job and really made this movie. At the age of 19, I find myself wanting to watch this movie annually and experience times where I will randomly quote one of the characters. I will always remember "I can fly" and Micheal Jordan growing up as a little kid, and then being swept away by animated characters. Great idea for a movie and an obvious classic.

There are a lot of uncomfortable closeups of humans trying to look at what was probably a stick, but now is an infamous Looney Toon. Bugs Bunny has a case of the not-gays. Patrick Ewing reprises his role from The Exorcist III. Larry Johnson contractually mentions his grandma. Charles Barkley fits into a suit that doesn't look like a muumuu. Bill Murray delivers some laughs with little to work with. Foghorn Leghorn kind of steals the show whenever Wile E. Coyote hasn't already.

Take away the nostalgia and it's really not that entertaining. The Looney Tunes have been better, funnier and more entertaining. Michael Jordan is great on the court but he's an awful actor. Bill Murray's god some pretty funny bits though.

This movie is a bloody travesty. No, the Looney Tunes characters will not play a friendly game of basketball with Michael Jordan. They hate each other. They want to kill each other. I was 10 years old when this movie came out and even then I could recognize complete bullshit.

Space Jam's been thoroughly memefied, but it's useful to go back and say: Wow, yeah, it really is that bad. It doesn't manage to be a sports movie *or* a wacky comedy, nobody involved knows how Looney Tunes humor works, Lola Bunny isn't a character, Michael Jordan can't act, there's no arc or structure, I Believe I Can Fly is in there three times but they don't even use the Space Jam theme itself right?! This is a pile of hot garbage, remembered only for a high concept and a good soundtrack.

I will never be able to separate this film from my nostalgia. Michael Jordan may, possibly, be the worst athlete actor I have seen. Perhaps this is because I have seen Kevin Garnett in "Uncut Gems" recently, and am judging unfairly. Bill Murray, not surprisingly, is the one breath of life in this film. The biggest crime of this film is that it made me believe that Shawn Bradley was a great player well into the 2000s.

Mistakes - 1) When Michael is wrestling with Charles the dog, he has his bag over his arm. But after finishing wrestling, the bag is gone. 2) After the Looney tunes challenge the aliens to a basketball game, the aliens change position when they all yell "All right, basketball.". 3) After Wile E. Coyote crashes into the auditorium, Daffy steps on his nose. On the very next shot, Daffy is walking in the aisle, but Wile E. is not visible behind him.

It's cute but there is just too much bad acting for this to be anything that is recommended to anyone except young kids that love basketball and the Looney Toons. My son enjoyed a few parts but overall he didn't seem too interested in it. I probably can go without watching this movie ever again.

I have a lot of love for this movie, as it was one of my favorites growing up. As an adult, I can certainly see the faults in the movie. The story is really thin, and MJ's acting isn't good, but it's still a ton of fun. The animation is especially brilliant and the movie has a fantastic soundtrack. Still way better than the sequel.

Enjoyable run-through with Bugs & Friends suffers by comparison to ROGER RABBIT for not fully exploiting some of the satiric possibilities in the set-up (Jordan's surprisingly effective and naturalistic performance could have leant itself more to a genial send-up). It's still hard not to have fun with this roster of characters, even if West occasionally has problems differentiating Bugs and Daffy.

Four writers were involved in this and one can only assume they were all working independently throughout. I've never seen an animated film that appeared not to have been storyboarded first - I wonder how it's even possible - but there could be no further explanation for this atrocious, unfunny, confusing mess of an $80m movie that manages to star Michael Jordan acting alongside the entire Looney Tunes cast but still look so cheap and lazy. Staggeringly bad, one for Murray completists only.

This is a good movie. So Michael Jordan help the looney toons as they face these deceiving Aliens who have stolen powers of the elite basketball players like Patrick Ewing and others at that time. They really make Michael Jordan like the most powerful guy in this movie as he beats them with like little to no problem. I know he's the best in real life but to have him run through a team of elites though???? I don't know about that.

Rewatch. Better than the 2nd one. I like the 2D animation and the integration of Michael Jordan's real life baseball story into the plot. Lola Bunny's sexiness is played up more than I remembered. Having MJ in this film was a much bigger cultural deal back then. Fav scene: Charles Barkley being bad at basketball at the pickup court.

It probably comes from my childhood nostalgia for the film. It can still make me laugh and the animated characters are better integrated than the live action cameos. Michael Jordan is dry and unimpressive for the most part. Especially considering the zany collective they've surrounded him with.

A true oddity of a film that at least is original in its own corrupt way. There's plenty to dislike about this commercial for Michael Jordan, but it's a film unlike no other and is a true product of its time that's sure to contaminate the nostalgia of kids of this era (like myself). The looney tunes kinda suck here and aren't nearly as funny as they usually are (and the Lola character is an embarrassment, probably ruined a generation of men as well), but at least the new monsters are fun.

If nostalgia were all that mattered, SPACE JAM would be a masterpiece. It's not--not even close--but it holds up better than I thought it would. It's got energy to spare, and it's generally funny (though the writing is awfully uneven), and while it's not as technically accomplished as ROGER RABBIT, it's quite workable. Where it falls short is the Looney Tunes themselves, who often feel like an afterthought; aside from Bugs and Daffy, they have very few opportunities to individually shine.

This team-up between post-Golden Age Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan (two visibly past-their-prime entities) made me feel bored and embarrassed for everyone involved. It feels like Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue with "don't do drugs" replaced by "buy all the Looney Tunes/Air Jordan merchandise you can find." I love that the film's central message of "you had it in you all along" gets flatly contradicted by every other character in the film, including Jordan himself when he plays baseball.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't think Michael Jordan is that bad an actor. I thought the comedy was awesome (not Disney awesome, but still) and the actors were awesome, Murray and Knight in particular. Not as good as i remember, but still very good. The live action bits let the film down, but the cartoons pick it back up. Still, its no Disney movie.

A childhood favorite. On rewatch it lacks in, well, a lot. The animated portions are good, content wise - it's rather hard to fuck up Looney Tunes (although the filmmakers here do try their hardest with Lola Bunny and a woeful underuse of the supporting cast). Michael Jordan can't act, and is largely a blank slate to look bemused. Some good comedy, some decent animation (parts look very dated, but not too much) and some fun concepts - but overall it all seems a little unnecessary.
