South Park is a quiet and peaceful place until the latest Terrance and Philip movie comes out. Once all the kids see it, all hell breaks loose, as the parents try to find a way to stop their kids from saying all the naughty words coming out of their mouths. The parents blame Terrance and Philip, place them under Citizen's Arrest, and declare war on their home country, Canada.

A near-masterpiece, no less. Tautly telling a story with several laudable messages, Parker and Stone brought the best satirical and crude elements from their show to the big screen. The many seriously catchy songs are all outstanding, the medley being particularly spectacular, and they lend themselves well to the epic scope. It's my favorite musical ever, hands down, and one of the funniest comedies of all time. It is, in short, fucking sweet.

Satirically it's a brilliant film. On one level I'm sure more immature people will find it funny for just how offensive it can back. However it can certainly be enjoyed on a more cerebral level. It does have something important to say as it points out the flaws with the MPAA and improperly directed rage which sets it's sights on censoring rather than responsible parenting.

Not just a brilliant comedy, but a great musical. Like no other film has ever done before 'South Park...' manages to balance satire and absurd crass humour just perfectly. The first time I watched this I was literally pissing myself laughing, and it actually stands up to multiple viewings really well.

Brilliant comedy and biting satire. In other words, the show translates perfectly to the big screen. Watching it again years later, having matured since playing it to death, I can appreciate the movie's brain: there is depth here, and great social commentary. Despite its crass humour, it does have something to say. Several things, actually, but mostly about over-zealous parenting and the MPAA's bass-ackwards moral code. Short, sweet, and built to be watched again and again and again and again.

I have almost no enthusiasm for the show, but I want to take this movie to the prom and awkwardly try to grope it. Then when it asks what I'm doing, I'll get nervous and make up a lame excuse. A very short time later, I'll drop it off at home without so much as a goodbye. I'll finish my special night weeping alone in my geo metro while drinking strawberry MD 20/20 and listening to Morrissey's Vauxhall and I (on cassette, of course).

An absolutely perfect movie. It shows the problems with American parents, cinema, and attitude not only in a very, very funny way, but does it so wonderfully -- especially with the music -- that I almost want to weep. I've seen this movie dozens of times and it still doesn't get old.

Has aged very well over the last twenty-ish years, in terms of pure humor value, its intensely memorable earwormy songs (can anyone who's seen this film not sing the melody of "Uncle Fucka"?) and in its satirical bite and pro-free speech, anti-censorship stance. Moreso than The Simpsons movie, which doesn't really stand apart too memorably from its parent series, this film is quite possibly the best South Park "episode" ever.

Viewed June 9, 2016. In the brief amount of time I've spent watching the television show, I've found that my sense of humor rarely aligns with South Park's. Having said that, this charmed me. It's rapidly paced and packed with jokes, the songs' mix of Disney sap and gleeful vulgarity is clever and endearing, and the central conceit that sets the film into motion - essentially, making fun of the prudish reception towards the film before it has even been released - is, quite frankly, brilliant.

Top badass moment? Nearly as much swearing as at a Sleaford Mods gig. I wonder, if Canada and the US did go to war and both invoked Article 5, which side would the UK fight on, bearing in mind the Queen owns Canada and the US owns the UK. A major constitutional crisis! I wonder what Brian Boitano would do? 1 (Canadian) cat, plus loads of chainsaws and decapitations; (all Canadians’ heads are already in two parts to start with anyway). But as it was all reversed in the end, not sure they count.

The South Park movie did something the show was just coming into at the time. It established the Trey and Matt's very unique satire as an art form. There are very few movies that can make me feel instantly and simultaneously giddy with childlike excitement and wonder, disgusted at what's playing out on screen, and immediately invested in what should amount to a silly little comedy, but "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut" is one them, a film as side-splitting as it poignant, a thoughtful commentary on freedom of speech and censorship that just happens to feature Saddam Hussein as Satan's abusive lover. You won't believe your eyes.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone delight South Park fans with one of the best animated musicals ever. Delivering as promised "Bigger, Longer, & Uncut" their original crude characters and animation style is larger than ever on the big screen. A movie about censorship that set a record for the most swearing in an animated movie ever. With surprisingly memorable songs, it's no surprise the same team went on to shock Broadway writing the multi Tony-award winning musical "The Book of Mormon"(2011)
