A strange and interesting film. It's mostly a strange romance drama with an eerie atmosphere, and an eerie sense of a mystery going on. Well directed and written for the most part, and subtle at times. Meanders a bit with pacing issues later on. The mystery plot is too strange and doesn't make sense. As the movie goes on, these seemingly normal people get more interesting layers revealed about them. The human drama in this film is just so good. What a strange, underrated and interesting film.

Talk about a slooooooow burn. I found the big twist really obvious from the very beginning despite it seeming logically impossible. There is one sequence in the third act that is especially strong and bumps up my score a few points. Within it are a couple of outside-the-box cinematography choices that have real resonance. The rest of the film doesn't have the same level of bold cinematography but it is effectively atmospheric throughout and tense in parts.
