Sooryagayathri

Dr. Balasubramaniam (Mohanlal), after his wife Rukmini's (Urvashi) death, devotes his life for raising son Raju Vishwam (Anu Anand), disregarding even his best friend Mani Sankar Iyer's (Nedumudi Venu) sister & coworker Sreelakshmi's (Parvathi) feelings towards him. When Raju goes to college, Balasubramaniam rejoices, but his joys are cut short when Raju dies in a hazing incident in college at the hands of his seniors.
