Song of the Eagle

Prohibition gangster drama on fast-forward! Many great characters in this picture, but the story itself never gets emotionally rooted, stressing through the years. But a lot of the bonding and brawling is entertaining and makes the picture fun in parts. When you invite Andy Devine to the party, you know it's going to be wild. Good part for George E. Stone being torn between the mob and his old pals. So it does have it's qualities, even if it as a whole doesn't come together all that well.
