Someone to Remember

This was a sweet little gem from Republic Pictures. A sentimental drama about an old lady waiting for her long-lost son. Mabel Paige, one of the fresh old women of Hollywood, puts on a quality performance that warms the heart. They also took good care of how the story unfolded, putting a little extra effort in the structure then Republic normally did. They were really growing into a serious studio at the time, and this picture is proof they had a vision beyond just putting out quick B-features.
