Ernst Lubitsch's So This is Paris stars Monte Blue and Patsy Ruth Miller as a doctor and his wife. The couple is as faithful as the day is long--but when a dance team comprised of Lilyan Tashman and Andre Beranger make the scene, the days grow mighty short. (All Movie Guide)

Mixes his early German work with his more signature Hollywood style successfully. Chaotic and fun.

A movie of pure chaos.

A charming bit of foolishness. Patsy Ruth Miller is especially engaging, Monte Blue is like a goofy, overgrown college kid as her husband Dr. Giraud, and there's an early appearance by Myrna Loy. Apparently, the Charleston sequence at the Artist Ball is the first choreographed dance scene in a silent movie.

Viewed November 29, 2021. A very funny farce about a couple who find their relationship turned upside down after getting to know their exhibitionist neighbors across the street. The imaginative visual gags here remind me of Lubitsch’s more surreal German comedies like The Doll or The Wildcat, but the feeling is closer to the sophisiticated style Lubitsch honed throughout his time in Hollywood.
