So Much For Justice!

Incomplete subtitles make it occasionally difficult to follow, but Jancso's final film is a solid reminder of his singular talent, even if it isn't anywhere close to the level of his truly great films. While it's composed of mostly long takes, the digital look calls attention to the obvious budget deficit, and the more conventional plot is a hit and miss affair. It does effectively zero in on his usual preoccupation regarding the abuse of power, despite the modest, if respectable, results.
