I don't like holding movies to a morality that's changed over time but dang this one don't look good. You know what does like good?? Joan Blondell's eyes. God damn

Extremely silly but a lot of fun. A pre-code screwball where Blondell shines throughout.

Oh, how wonderful the pre-code era really is! A sophisticated comedy about spousal abuse and how right it is! At least it was grounds for divorce as Joan Blondell gets released from the "brute" Warren William. It's something Edward Everett Horton put in swing so he could get Blondell. Horton soon finds out a sock in the face is needed with Blondell. While it has a of of spark, it doesn't keep it the entire length. Still it's worth waiting for the end. Just look at Blondell's eyes there! Wow!!!
