Small Town Gay Bar

More a snapshot than an in depth look, this amatuerish documentary still has some interesting interviews and characters.

The lunatic Fred Phelps has way too much exposure. the one person was right, the one in the limo and only God will be judging them for what they did and not Fred Phelps. But I digress, I would've liked to have had more to go on and seen more things about the culture in the Bible Belt and I really felt bad for the kid that was murdered for being gay, but I really didn't get the sense of the people struggling as they said they were. Still a decent watch though.

Gives some ideas about the things gay people go through and feel for them but not a very well executed documentary. Still worth a watch.

This documentary is just about exactly what you'd expect. It might have had some impact had it been made in 1996, but, for 2006, not so much.

I'd hoped for a more revealing glimpse of this culture, but was given a very limited perspective. There was no sense of story presented--just a superficial glance.
