Babe Ruth gets off a train, and joins in a baseball game with some kids who refuse to believe he is the Babe until one of them produces a newspaper with his photograph. His first action is as pinch runner when one kid is called indoors by his mother. He then gives a lesson in correct sliding technique, gives some batting tips, and hits an inside-the-park homerun against a quaking pitcher before grabbing his jacket and running for the departing train. The great baseball legend Babe Ruth in a part-comedy, part-educational short teaching some kids how to play baseball with detailed instructions on how to slide, block the sun when catching the ball, swing a bat and so on.... enjoyable what what it is and to see the great Babe not far from retirement.

Babe Ruth hops off his train to show up some 12 year olds playing on a sandlot. The Babe looks pretty good for only being three seasons away from retirement, but this is really just a light period piece, nothing more.
