Slice

In Japan, people think it's a good idea to put corn, potatoes, and mayonnaise on their pizza. It's not. This movie is good, though it's not really about pizza, despite the pizzarific title. It's about Paul McCartney (alive) and Michael Jackson (dead) living together in perfect harmony in a sleepy Midwestern town that also happens to hide a two-way portal to Hell. You know, like Akron.

Another mindless horror comedy that's not very funny or scary ....Meh passes time

The kind of comedy where you can always spot where the funny bits are supposed to be, and why they're supposed to be funny, and that the cast seems to be having a bit of fun with it, but... it's just undercooked.

"Slice" is a wacky, supernatural flick almost like a live action Scooby-Doo with a straight face, but despite sounding like a recipe for a home run, something in here just crumbles under the weight of an absolutely awesome concept. If I were Vesely I would have been profoundly heartbroken at knowing I had a vision of a Mona Lisa, but I had only produced a crayon drawing of a stick figure. It might be a dud, but I get the impression that the next one Vesely does is going to be awesome.
