Slaughter of the Vampires

Serviceable Italian gothic. It basically retells a part of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and quite faithfully, which means that you’ve seen the story a million times. B/W cinematography and location are nice, but there is nothing that makes it stand out. It lacks the style of Bava’s films and is closer to old Universal ones; perhaps a bit more daring than those, but nothing to match e.g. Hammer films of the era. It does get more interesting towards the end as it strays away from the Stoker book.
