Skyscrapers

This early short drama is one part actuality and one part narrative. Best remembered for its use of real construction workers busy at work on an actual skyscraper, the titular setting for this hokey drama makes the film a great time capsule of early 20th century NYC. The panoramic shots of the city act as a backdrop to the steel workers precariously on the job, in addition to the story about a thieving, lying, construction worker named "Dago Pete".

This is yet another film that had potential but wasn't able to capitalize on it due to its short length and fragmented style.
