Skyggen i mit øje

Quality production of a tragic miscalculation when the British was trying to bomb out the Nazis in Denmark, and accidentally targeted a school full of children. Got that gloomy grey-toned war era look that so many modern films use to portray that era, but it's nicely done. The focus on child trauma of them witnessing the horrors that is war, and attitudes on metal health is also prominently part of the story, and helps build the emotions of a dark and unfortunate day that sadly has to be told.

Watchable,

"Precision bombing" viewed from the ground up. A suspenseful and surprisingly affecting antiwar film, based in true events with believable characters, that does not flinch from moral conundrums or wrenching personal trauma. Delivers an emotional wallop.

A competent movie depicting the horror of war without the combat. It's almost more of a disaster movie than a war movie. It was certainly effective, but it tended to drag at times and never really gave me much to care about in the characters.

Was I moved? Yes. Is it a good movie? No. As a story it felt somewhat incoherent with a lot of time allocated to a odd love interest between a Nun and a HIPO man that doesn’t really bring anything to the main story.

Could have been very good if it wasn’t for the forced subplots and a final third that goes on way too long.

A piece of history I didn't know about. Everyone did good and the kids did even better. So hard to watch. *Good
