Skammerens datter II: Slangens gave

Has all the elements of a decent fantasy story; the girl with an exceptional gift, evil evil baddies with a giant snake in a lake, beautiful scenery, magic and myths. But for the life of me, I couldn't care about any of the characters. They just lacked depth, they lacked everything. The main character was the only one with something going for her, but that's not enough when the story revolves around other characters, as well. Snake was pretty cool. The movie looked nice. But that's about it.
