Six-Gun Rhythm

Grand National had lost Tex Ritter, one of their most valuable assets to Monogram, so they had to find a new singing cowbow. They signed radio cowboy Tex Fletcher. The only movie Fletcher ever made! Fletcher wasn't too bad, but the movie making was. He gets to sing his song, has a poor excuse for a comic sidekick, and the rest pretty generic poverty row stuff chopped together in a mess. I did like the dusty ending. At least they attempted to do something different with the shootout in the storm.

Cheapie second-bill B-Western (maybe C?) is fine for what it is, and distinguished by Fletcher’s ingratiating performance, and some reasonably well-crafted horse chases to perk up interest from time to time – climactic confrontation set within a fierce sand-storm at least bumps this up into a novelty value very mild recommendation.
