Chief Sitting Bull of the Sioux tribe is forced by the Indian-hating General Custer to react with violence, resulting in the famous Last Stand at Little Bighorn. Parrish, a friend to the Sioux, tries to prevent the bloodshed, but is court-martialed for "collaborating" with the enemy. There's a lot you could do with Sitting Bull for narrative purposes, but this movie took the lame route and focused on white officers while portraying the Sioux in the most stereotypical way imaginable. It doesn't help the events in this film are made up bullshit and ignore the actual causes of the battle. The majority of the movie is weirdly milquetoast drama that is mostly pointless providing weak context for the conflict, leading to a boring climatic battle and eyerolling white savior ending.
