I went back and rewatched every fight in this with Sonny Chiba and never saw him rip anyone's testicles off and squish them. Not sure if that scene is in this movie or if maybe the version I saw was censored or what. Update: TheDenizen let me know that the ball crushing scene is in The Street Fighter (1974), not Sister Street Fighter (1974). Thanks for the info!

Much better than I was expecting. The action scenes are well worth drudging through the atrocious dialogue and acting. Once you get to the end, and heads get twisted around and intestines fall out of well-placed stomach punches, all its flaws don't seem to matter very much. The best goodness camp can get.

This has a female protagonist kicking a lot of ass, which is always a plus in my book. There is something resembling a plot, but that's just an excuse to hang plenty fights on. With so much fighting, zany villains and typical 70s vibe this is just pure 70s Japanese genre fun. So I was liking this movie very much and than Sonny Chiba rips someone's intestines out and it was definite this movie could never get a lower grade than a 8.

Exactly what you expect when you hear '70s exploitation martial arts film'; occupies the middle ground of being neither good enough or bad enough to be entertaining, but Shiomi makes for a very lithe heroine, and Chiba is a formidable force whenever he is around.

Pretty standard Toei action from that era. Only for fans of the genre.

Pretty rad martial arts movie. Colorful characters (sai wielding eye-patch wearing midget!), delightfully cheesy 70's music and amusing battles. You never have to wait very long for a fight to break out. Sonny Chiba totally dominates the movie in the few moments he is onscreen.

There are so many "what the hell" moments in this that really make it worth watching, but you really have to wait for it to gain momentum.

5 extra points for when chiba uses the monkey steals the peach technique, rips a dude's testicles out and then squishes them like grapes in front of him.

Silly fun, with great villains and decent fight scenes. It needs more Chiba, Shihomi is alright but she's not quite the antihero Chiba is in the original Street fighter.

Fun karate action flick starring the adorable but deadly Etsuko Shihomi tearing apart wave after wave of silly bad guys. Good Times.
