Long-winded. While underdog stories up against the arrogant establishment are a popular trait, the cliches felt ill-fitted for this medical story from the real world, which would explain why this was a massive flop. Rosalind Russell, who was hand-picked by the real Sister Kenny (1946), does fine, but there wasn't exactly any peak scenes for her to shine in. Instead the grumpy old doctor Philip Merivale becomes the most memorable thing about this biopic, in his final performance before dying.
