A odd musical comedy to grasp. Blends the rural comedy with the more sophisticated Hollywood show numbers. The result isn't mind-bending, but in a strange way a highly likable curio. Especially as a quality introduction to entertainers who at this point hadn't gotten much time at the other studios. A splendid spectacle for Judy Canova, showing her range from the country-bumpkin yodling to high-pitch opera! The girl could sing! And the girl could entertain in her own special way.
