The old me was a snob. This is glorious trash. They cut down the first movie to 40 minutes but made sure to keep the Quigleys in. GARBAGE DAY.

Luckily for me, I had not yet seen the first "Silent Night, Deadly Night"(1984) when first seeing this so-bad-it's-good cult classic sequel, so honestly I didn't really mind the first half of recycled footage recapped by the amazing Eric Freeman. Although after the glorious second half of 80's cheese, so-bad-it's-good nonsense, and Freeman's "inspired" acting, I am a bit disappointed that instead we didn't get an entire feature length movie's worth of "GARBAGE DAY!" level insanity.

Probably my pick for most hilarious bad movie of all time...At least in the top five. Wall to wall laughs with Eric Freeman (and his eyebrows) giving the performance of a lifetime.

Significantly worse than its predecessor, part two of the infamous Xmas "classic" is lazy. The first half just reminds me that I'd rather be watching part one. Eric Freeman's performance is certainly one for the ages. His eyebrows should have a separate billing.

Somehow, from the bowels of a repulsive creature (I'm simultaneously appalled and in awe of the shamelessness of incorporating >30m of the original) emerges an actor so tragic, so disgustingly devoid of talent that it defies comprehension. The hilarity of his "acting" knows no bounds. With him as a guide, we pass through the nothingness of poor, decidedly not tongue-in-cheek filmmaking and ascend into camp heaven. Eric Freeman, wriggle your eyebrows and utter the immortal line "Garrbaadge dayy".

A perfect "so bad it's good" movie. The acting is pretty shitty but hilarious. Look out for funny cop scenes, the umbrella scene (wait for iiiit), the wriggly eyebrows (great for a drinking game) and "Garbage day"!

40 minutes of the first movie to start with (a welcome re-fresher, complete with scenes that made no sense even in the first movie) followed by amazing catch phrases, hilarious acting and the shittiest attention to detail (hey, remember Jennifer? Have a look, here's her actual real life acting headshot.) I have ever seen in a movie. Simply fucking amazing. GARBAGE DAY! This gem took 4 WRITERS to make. 4! This is hope for all you writers. HOPE.

On the one hand, this should be rated a zero, for reasons that will be obvious to anyone and everyone who's ever come into contact with it. However, for the sheer cojones and contempt of the audience it has to include ½ hour+ of the first movie, not to mention the greteast worst acting ever and -that- line, it deserves top marks. So fifty it is. A lovable abomination.

Judged as a regular film it's not only bad (dialogue & acting), but it also spends 40 minutes re-showing most of the first film. Judged as a So Bad It's Good film however, it's unexpectedly fun. If it's been awhile since you watched the first, it's actually good to have it summarized here, & then becomes unexpectedly interesting when the killer becomes a Punisher-style vigilante you're rooting for. That doesn't last long but the bad dialogue also made me LOL about 3 times & the kills are decent

I guess I burned out my so-bad-it's-good pleasures during the first SN,DN, because I honestly got pretty goddamn bored during this one. The flashback scene just goes on... and on... and on... and on... and there's no new boobs, only flashback boobs! Probably one of the worst slasher films I've seen, which is saying something.

This movie is AWESOME! 88 minutes long and 35 of those are flashbacks to the first movie. Whether it's extreme lazyness or a big fuck you to the audience it takes stones and for that I applaud it. This is the perfect sequel. Bigger and more extreme. Inconceivably bad acting, plot and dialogue so ridiculous it makes you yearn for the Shakespeare writing monkeys and the best/worst murder involving an umbrella ever. The funniest bad movie I have ever seen.

Another ranking-defying movie. One of the few gloriously bad movies that manages to be a better watch because of it's shortcomings - somewhat like falling from a high building while remembering a great joke.

The first SNDN was like an inspired teenager's movie wet-dream, and achieves a schlocky sense of cohesion without becoming at all stylised or 'aesthetic'. This, to me, can be a virtue of trashy cinema, depending on the situation. This sequel largely feeds off its' predecessor through comprehensive flashbacks and the rest is micro-budget padding. While there's something fascinating about Freeman's performance here, the film as a whole is extremely low effort.

Quite a rip-off: 1st half is made of recycled footage from the original, but with quicker pace and lesser soundtrack diminishing the effect. New footage consists of mental hospital interview with about 30mins remaining when Ricky finally gets out. For some reason he's in L.A and there's hardly a glimpse of Christmas in sight until the very end. Acting is laughable and new kill scenes are so over the top that you can't help but enjoy it on some level, but I doubt I will ever re-watch this turd.

A killer with no motivation, a first forty minutes made up almost entirely of footage from the first film, and a lead actor who should live forever in the annals of ludicrously exaggerated eye-brow raising.

Probably one of the worst funny movies ever made, or perhaps the other way around. Either way it stars Mark Hamill's sleazy little brother, the most incredible use of an umbrella, a scene to shame Scream 2 followers, the most explicit use of eyebrows in the history of acting, and one of the most random pieces of dialogue ever. If watched directly after the first instalment (which makes up 1/3 of this film as flashbacks) I guarantee you: you'll have a blast. GARBAGE DAY!

It's not like the first film was a masterpiece - by all accounts it was sleazy and tasteless trash. But it was pretty fun trash. This is absurdly awful (and if you haven't seen the first, don't worry! half this film is flashbacks from the original!). But, to be fair, Freeman's eyebrows are amazing and do the scenery chewing of five Samuel L. Jacksons.

first part: excellent genre exercise. second part: half of its lenght is just re-using the same film material used in the first part. waste of time for anyone who has seen the first part, unless you want to skip the first 50 minutes or so. there's few WTFIGO -type of hilarious scenes due to terrible acting, though (like the movie theater scene.)
