Silly and mildly naughty scenario as plain bookworm Joan Davis helps out a friend wanting to be anonymous pretending to be her so to collect a royalty check for a juicy novel her friend had written. However the publishers have different ideas and want to throw a whole publicity stunt on her. And things only get wilder after that, especially since plain Jane loses her memory and starts to think she's this outrageous flirt that's written this book. A really pleasant comedy overall.
