Shapeshifter

A man in his thirties plays a high school hacker whose parents are kidnapped and also he can turn into animals when someone plays a glass harmonica. It was as good as that description makes it sound.

The first chunk is way more low key and atmospheric than I expected from the synopsis. Then around the mid-point it all went to hell (imo as soon as they introduce 'cyberwitch') but I came back around by the end. My head hurts but I was also bemused. I'd never seen a glass harmonica before so I even learned about something cool.

Yep. This movie is barely even about shapeshifting. I saw it as a kid. What in the hell.
