SPOILER. How dumb are these demons? Not only can't they sniff, but they also come out every year just to make more demons they'll have to compete for food with? This is just ridiculous. How dumb are these writers?

Eduardo Sanchez did not deserve that success but after Blair Witch I was hoping more creative and different stuff from him. Almost nothing has changed. "Light! More light!" * Casting, Acting : 2 * Script : 2 * Directing, Aura : 1 * Ease of Viewing : 1 * Naked Eye : 2

Crap. Combine a really dumb premise with worst ever cinematography, you get this heap of junk. First they shot this shaky-cam style while the movie's a regular 3rd person format. Then its all shot at night in darkness without any ambient light so you can't see shit, top of that, every single action sequence is shot out of focus, there is literally barely 8 minutes of footage where you can make out what's going on. Avoid like the plague.

The shaky-cam strikes again, now worse than ever. For real though, this is one of the worst and most annoying examples of the shaky-cam technique, a film in which you don't even know wtf is going on 50% of the time because of how much the camera is constantly shaking. It's also dark af, so that makes it hard to see even when the camera doesn't move like crazy (which isn't often). It's just so awfully shot. The plot is also terrible. The creatures aren't even cool!

Unwatchable, violently inept cinematography and a shit-awful script, kinda-fucking-racist too.

I've not seen many recent thriller/horrors that are this bad. Boring plot, boring creatures and far too predictable.

Not so good

Fucking terrible Neil Marshall ripoff. Almost worth it for the comedy husband monster at the end, but not quite.

Lately it seems as if horror movies have to be so dark you can't see what is going on and you have to use your imagination. Yeah ok, sometimes it works, but you know what. When I go to watch a movie, I want to see and hear things. Not just hear things. But unlike the Blair Witch Project, we at least get to see the creatures even though at times out of focus. This was a decent idea, even though heavily borrowed, it was very frustrating to watch.

This is so stupid. The plot is boring, the acting isn't really good, the monsters are blurry like all the time. And why the fuck did the husband-monster in the end have painted-on abs?? STUPID!

Why are these monsters out of godd*mn focus?
