Multi-director omnibus films are always a dicey proposition, and this one is no exception. As could be expected, it's an extremely hit-or-miss hodgepodge of varying quality. That said, for what it is it's more interesting than other films of it's type, if for no other reason than that by presenting a cross-section of feminist filmmakers from the mid-1980s it's at least showcasing an otherwise all-too-overlooked moment in film history that deserves to be remembered.

Maxi Cohen's Anger steals the show by being so audacious, honest, and painful. Next is the Lust segment which is hands down the funniest bit with it's Pumping Iron beefcake workout montage set to Klaus Nomi. Akerman's short is okay but disappointing coming from her. The rest are varying levels of boring with their own ups and downs.
